About us
Ofsted's Annual Report presents the findings of inspection and regulatory visits made during the previous inspection year. It assesses the quality and standards found across the full range of Ofsted's work, including care, early education, schools, colleges, adult learning and skills, and children’s services.
You can download The Annual Report of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills 2010/11: it is available as a single PDF and nine section PDFs.
On the day the Annual Report is published, we also publish a full list of those providers whose work with children, young people and adult learners has been found by inspectors to be of outstanding quality during the inspection year. For the current list of Outstanding Providers go to the Outstanding Providers page.

Across the range of provision, a number of key challenges stand out: tackling failures; raising ambitions; improving the quality of teaching and learning; and ensuring the best services for the children and learners who need them most.
